Otherwise pulling 18 mp from 12 does not make it 'real' 18 and only wastes space. Between the other options, as everyone said, it's personal preference, considering both the workflow and composition. | |

Even the same client might not answer the question the same way for different projects or subject matter. The best time to ask your client this is before you shoot the content. | |
