I think a distinction needs to be made between people that are looking to buy a camera and choose a smartphone and people that use the cameraphone because it's handy. Just because Flickr and Facebook are plagued with cameraphone snapshots doesn't mean that's the future of photography.
TSA locks, locks in general really, only keep honest people honest. If someone wants your stuff TSA locks are some of the easiest to tamper with. And if you use zippers then the lock is the least of your problems.
This is a technical question that isn't necessarily specific to photography. You would be better off asking a group of people that are more technical with computers than they are with cameras. That being said, without spending a lot of money on commercial software or services you've exhausted your options.
I got the impression he wanted to make the same crop on multiple images. He's got a fisheye lens and wants a rectangular area selected that eliminates the black corners. If he gets his crop the way he wants to on one of them (using Mark Whitaker's advice, perhaps) then he can easily apply that crop to all his photos (using my tip).
