Film slr Is Why is my film SLR taking white photos?

I recently found an old 8 year old-year-old film Nikon slrSLR that I used owned. There was a roll of film in it for 3-4 years. So I finished taking photos with the whole roll and when they came outwere developed, most of them were totally white. And there

There was also a problem with autofocus. It always focused a few feet beforein front of the subject  , so I manualmanually focused all the photos. What do you think it was caused by  ? Should I check if the mirror is flipping or if the shutter is working or could it be due to some other problem and?

I don't think there is any problem with the light meter or exposure meter since I also took a few photos in manual. I I am a photography enthusiast and usually use a Sony dslrdSLR.
