Sep 21, 2018 at 2:16 comment added jrista It sounds like the wording of this question needs to be improved. I think there is merit to the underlying question that is really being asked, however I don't think that is as clear as it could be to prospective answerers. @x-terminate, can you try to improve your question so it is clearer and more obvious what you are specifically asking?

Sep 20, 2018 at 23:20 comment added mattdm As I noted elsewhere, Wikipedia articles tend to be fairly poor on impact and legacy of particular photographic work. They're instead are good for finding signs of importance, like notable exhibitions or presence in museums. Often one can collect a lot of useful knowledge from articles on museum sites and from art magazines, but it's not exactly trivial to synthesize if you don't already have more than passing familiarity.
Sep 20, 2018 at 22:37 comment added x-terminate Sure, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernd_and_Hilla_Becher although I don't see the point so much - the idea is for people who are familiar with the concept to provide their take on it, otherwise what's the point - I can read what wikipedia says about their work myself.
Sep 20, 2018 at 22:35 comment added xiota It would be nice if you explain what "Bechler typologies" are and how they relate to photography to give some context to the question. Even just a few links for further reading would have been helpful.
Sep 20, 2018 at 21:54 comment added x-terminate @osullic - It is indeed an art-related question but it addresses a specific series of works in the medium of photography, and unless it is your position that all art works are valued along a single criteria that is beyond verbal representation I'd say it's a well-posed one.
