Keep in mind that the dual pixel AF only works in video/live view. When focusing through the viewfinder you're using the same AF sensor that existed in the 7d.

On my cameras (Canon), the AF point blinks red when it achieves focus while on servo and continues to search after that.

B&H also is pretty good about notifying when items are Grey Market and what that may mean. Shadier vendors are likely to downplay that information.

That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping to use the shutter button on my camera to trigger the secondary camera, but I suppose I would need to run some tests to see what the actual frame rate comes out to and if it's adequate. Thank you.

Right now I have the cheap cowboy studio triggers, but I would consider upgrading to the pocket wizard flex triggers.
