I do data recovery (mainly from NAND based drives) and file repair for a living. I have had this fascination for storage devices and data recovery for several decades, since I worked for PowerQuest (PartitionMagic). Since then I wrote 'disk repair' tools (DiskPatch being one) and file recovery software myself or was involved in file recovery development projects. In recent years I wrote some tools for digital photo repair and recovery.
