A flagship 35mm SLR from Canon's EOS series, released in 2000.

The Canon EOS-1v is a 35mm SLR camera. It belongs to the EOS series and is the most recent 1-series canon film SLR. It's design and AF system constituted the basis for both the Canon EOS-1D and EOS-1Ds series of DSLR cameras. At the time of introduction it was the fastet moving-mirror film camera put into production with its 10 frames/second using the PB-E2 power drve with a NP-E2 battery pack.
