Exposure is the total amount of light allowed to fall on a sensor or film during the taking of a photograph. This is determined by the exposure time (shutter speed) and amount of light admitted (lens aperture). Today, sensor/film sensitivity (ISO speed) is often also considered to be part of exposure.

Does Manual iso = low noise?

that the function responsible for the calculation of ISO: calculated on more granular level - which may introduce less/more light (therefore noise) thus manual mode might use a slightly worse/better exposure

Using Auto ISO when shooting

" i.e. not have your photo over-, nor underexposed, but it's still a machine and in some cases having it -1 or +1 stop is actually what you want and auto ISO will fight you (unless you can adjust the exposure
