Normal lenses are the ones with focal length roughly equal to diagonal of imaging surface (43mm on 35mm full frame, about 28mm on APS-C). Classic normal lenses are slightly longer (50...58mm on FF, 30...35 on APS-C).

I'd like to buy a normal prime lens, getting faster shutter speeds, greater aperture and overall better "normal" photo quality. … Does that mean that with such 35mm DX lens I'll get a normal field of view and at the same time a slight fish eye distortion? …
