Nikon cameras have a 46.5mm flange distance. This means that an adapter could be fitted to a Nikon lens which would allow it to be used with a Sony/Minolta camera, but not the other way round. … Canon's EF mount is only 44.0mm, which means lots of old Nikon, Pentax, etc. lenses can be used with EOS DSLR's.
