Normal lenses are the ones with focal length roughly equal to diagonal of imaging surface (43mm on 35mm full frame, about 28mm on APS-C). Classic normal lenses are slightly longer (50...58mm on FF, 30...35 on APS-C).

I have a Nikon D5100 and would like a standard 50mm lens.
