I found and bought a Minolta XD labeled as "defective" as it had a mirror lock up and a stuck film advance lever. I opened the camera and cleaned some parts especially the oiled blades of the shutter after that it starts to fire in "B" and "O" shutter modes. The LED is ok and moves up and down according to the metering, the only problem is that I need to crank the self-timer to be able to use the other shutter speed setting except for the mechanical ones. I can tell from the sound that the speed from 1000 to X is fairly accurate as I compare it to my Minolta stsi. Am I missing something? or do you encounter this such problems on your Minolta XD/XD7/XD11? Thank you very much if you can share something that might help to solve this problem.
