I want to buy an entry-level steadycam for my G7. I can buy used Glidecam 2000 PRO fot ~ 91 USD. Will it be ok with my set? I'm afraid my set may be too light to stabilize the Glidecam.

For now, I use only G7 with Lumix 14-140 lens, but I think I will add some shotgun mic and led light in the near future.

Or maybe better option will be something designed for DSLR, like Flycam Nano DSLR HD or something?

Ok, I found some specs and reviews. Glidecam 2000 Pro is not an optimal choice for mirrorless, because:

The Pro is made for cameras and camcorders weighing between 2 and 6 pounds. Oddly, if the camera is too light, the Pro seems to be harder to balance.

I won't risk and find something smaller.

  • Tried a full size flycam with an a6000 once. Needed to add weights to the TOP platform to get it in balance. So, much too large for a small DSLM. – rackandboneman Jan 25 at 22:31
