Apr 25, 2018 at 12:44 comment added mattdm Thanks for the update. I would suggest providing that as an answer to your own question, rather than editing the answer into your question itself (which makes it less of a question, and therefore less useful to others in the future). Thanks!

Apr 14, 2018 at 2:19 comment added JonathanReez @Octopus a camera is just a tool. If it does its job done its a good tool. But it seems that the small Fuji doesn't work for OP as models don't appreciate it, so its not a good tool.

Apr 13, 2018 at 22:21 comment added Octopus @JonathanReez, the Fuji X-series of cameras are actually very good cameras, easily capable of producing pro-quality imagery. I wouldn't say the job requires a big camera, just a good one.
Apr 13, 2018 at 16:44 comment added Belle @Thaillie yes! Especially Elfia. Castlefest is okay, usually.

Apr 10, 2018 at 19:04 comment added JonathanReez Why do you insist on shooting with a smaller camera if your job obviously seems to require a big one? This is a question of business, not of photography. Make your life easier :)

Apr 10, 2018 at 10:17 comment added Belle I believe I have various other aspects to improve in my photography. I am pretty shy for example, which will also affect models, but I left that out of the scope of the question on purpose. This is one problem I face, hence this question. And I'm sure it exists, because I can 'fix' it to a large extend by using a larger camera+lens. But I am of the opinion that a 56mm 1.2 on an ASP-C camera takes nicer portraits than a 70mm f4.0 on a full-frame. And I like my brand. Fuji doesn't have large lenses, so that is no option anyway.
Apr 10, 2018 at 10:09 comment added Belle @SargeBorsch There's a reasonable amount of people. But some also don't pose as 'enthusiasticly' as they would for the other camera. Of course, I have no proof, but the glances they throw at the camera and it not happening with a 'big' camera (either myself using one or the next photographer a few meters further) say quite a bit.
Apr 10, 2018 at 10:00 comment added Display Name do you still have enough people to shoot if you ignore those who want a big camera? also, do they explicitly tell you that the main reason is that the camera is too small? (if they don't tell, it's probably not the only possible cause)
