I can't answer the question precisely but I researcr Researchedresearched this the other day and noticed if I crop in raw and in Raw and save in jpegas JPEG the resulting image size is much larger than doing the same crop in jpegJPEG. SooooSo, a bigger file should in theory be a better quality.
