Why is the autofocus is not working on my canon EF 70-200mm f2.8L ii8 L IS II USM?

So I currently bought the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L is ii8 L IS II lens and the autofocus is not working it's. It's non functional-functional. I can use the lens in manual mode but not in autofocus I was wondering if anybody knew what. What could be the cause?
