I have a Canon Powershot SX410 IS I like this device, but sometimes it don't focus on the object which need to me. This situation occurs when a small object (an insect) close to the lens. My picture with a dragonfly I shot many times, but only three successfully. As to the photo with a squirrel, I could not do so successfully. Also when object and background of one color it happens . Probably because camera automatically focus for a object without my help. I think it not good when you want to make photo of animals or insects. While I will set camera's parameters every "object" can escape far away. Please tell for me maybe I can change software this the Canon's model for hand setting of focus instead automatically?

For example, the picture with a dragonfly I shot many times, but only three successfully. As to the photo with a squirrel, I could not do so successfully. This also occurs when the subject and background are the same color, probably because camera automatically focuses on objects without my help.

This is difficult when you want to take photos of animals or insects. While I am setting my camera's parameters, the subjects often move or run away.

Is it possible to change this camera's software so that I can manually focus, instead of the camera automatically focusing? If not, how do I focus on insects and animals with this camera, without it changing the focus subject all the time?
