Oct 17, 2016 at 16:51 comment added rob j crowe autosync could be another way to do it. But the fact that it works immediately when I do 800 pictures from a raw video. Yet doesn't work when I wait 5 minutes to start the slideshow export means there is definitely a bug, even if you can work around it. It might be faster to do the copy/paste operation and then do an export of those pictures right away. Then import those pictures and only build minimal previews, then create the slideshow from those pictures. At the very least you wouldn't have to create a macro and I believe it should work correctly with minimal baby sitting.
Oct 17, 2016 at 10:33 comment added ths maybe an option would be not to copy&paste, but use the auto sync feature to apply all changes simultaneously to all pictures during editing?

Oct 17, 2016 at 7:53 comment added Yogu Thanks, glad to hear I'm not alone. I tried to report the bug but did only find the forums, maybe it will get the attention of some developer.

Oct 17, 2016 at 4:29 comment added rob j crowe Wow you're right I had the same experience on Windows 10 on whatever the most up to date version of lightroom is. Most of the pictures were whatever I copy/pasted, but some where not updated. Simply viewing the files as you mentioned fixed the problem. I only use the slideshow feature a couple of times a year so I can't say if this is a new bug or and old one. I don't remember hearing anything about it. Might be easiest for you to setup some sort of macro to slowly move through the film strip so they update properly if its something you do often.
Oct 17, 2016 at 2:24 comment added rob j crowe I've used that feature, but I would need to try and recreate your exact problem. I'll give it a try once I get a free moment.
Oct 16, 2016 at 21:46 comment added Yogu Yeah I should be able to just export, them but I am not, at least not with the slideshow video export. Have you tried the video export for any chance?
