If it takes it ages, it's probably best to not use that developer. If there's no change, well, the developer is hosed. You "can" clip test any chemistry, just depends on you knowing what you're looking for. For instance if I was clip testing C-41 Blix or Bleach, I'd use a B&W leader, if it turns to the acetate base (bleaching all the sliver out), I know my C-41 bleach works. | |
