How to photograph low light photography volleyballindoor sport?

I am using canon 70 da Canon 70d with 18-5555mm lens to capture volleyball fast moving actions indooraction (volleyball) indoors. were i thinkLack of light is thewas a problem i, so I tried different settings but stillthe pictures still are a bit dark.i I am not sure iI was doing things correctly or not. anotherAnother option i gotI have is to buy a 18-200200mm lens  . pleasePlease help me to choose the correct setting isettings - I know 70 d gotthe 70d has lot of options to do thatthis kind of job.
