Mar 11, 2014 at 11:11 comment added James Snell In my experience (and I shoot kids a lot, not just mine but other people's) I find Image Stabilisation is generally useless around young children as the action you need to freeze is their movement rather than camera shake. Babies you can get away with it but once they're mobile only a faster shutter or flash (or both) will freeze the subject sufficiently.
