Sep 4, 2010 at 16:13 comment added jfklein13 The Professional Photographers of America (PPA) has rules, or strong guidelines for their print competitions.
Sep 3, 2010 at 21:49 comment added ex-ms @jrista - It was actually an honest question. You seem to me to be implying that there's the possibility of some official photography portait-posing rule-making body, and I couldn't tell if you were making a joke or not.
Sep 3, 2010 at 21:26 comment added jrista There were two clear opinions about this thread, one voiced in a flag for moderators, and jfklein's comment above. My original comment was simply added so that the person who left the flag would know a moderator looked at their request. I don't know if this should be CW or not, and I decided to leave it up to the community to decide. If I received another flag, or there was a clear community desire for this to be wiki, I would have gladly converted it. Otherwise, I was content to leave it be.
Sep 3, 2010 at 21:02 comment added ex-ms @jrista are you being serious? 'cause it feels like you're pulling my chain with "I honestly couldn't say if there was anything official or not." Is there such an "official" rules-issuing body for any field of photography?
Sep 3, 2010 at 20:44 comment added ex-ms @jrista - there is no "official" list of rules; who would issue it?

Sep 2, 2010 at 18:06 comment added jrista I'll wait and see how this turns out before converting it. If there are some official lists of established, professional guidelines/best practices, this is a good non-wiki question.

Sep 2, 2010 at 16:54 comment added jfklein13 Community wiki is not a bad idea, but for professionals I think there are a list of pretty well-established rules.
Sep 2, 2010 at 16:35 comment added Abhinav Too subjective and generic. You might want to make this a community-wiki.
