That one is not even in barrel ;) The kit lens, particularly Nikon's of which I had almost a dozen samples, is probably the lowest quality lens Nikon still makes, and that is OK considering its price! More money will usually buy you more quality and you can spend more money on any lens in Nikon's lineup! | |

Kit zooms are not very fast, but they do give a versatile wide-to-short-portrait zoom range, and relatively decent image quality for the price when stopped down. | |
