If the view in the viewfinder is sharper than the image captured by the sensor (as is stated in the question), it is due to the optical image path (via the mirror) being slightly longer or shorter from the lens to the viewscreen (when the mirror is down during focusing) than the optical image path from the lens to the sensor (when the mirror is up during image capture). | |
