When What are the summary rules for when to use VRimage stabilization and when Notnot to?

When I got my DSLR, I gottook a lot of pics and all of them came excellent. There was literally no bad pic. The next day when I looked at my lens setting, it waseven though I had VR at VR=Offthe "Off" position.

Since those came out so well, I wonder when should I turn VR ON vs OFFon, and when I should just leave it off.
