TV in the early days did not use C mount at all! Each nation used their own and the mount was large, to permit the most light through as the valve technology was in its infancy. Some TV systems would cover Full Frame, 135 format. These lenses come onto the market and even their manufacturers do not know what mount was used nor the sensor coverage. They were horrenouslyhorrendously expensive and the tech meant they became obsolete quickly. Zooms were even more expensive.
French TV zooms might even have ended up in the UK and there were joint ventures between the two countries later on as seen in Sopelem tv lenses.
There is no known way to mount such lenses. Primes are much easier to mount, but generally, German lenses were used in the USA for example, often Exa mount, as unbeatable for price and performance. UK lenses were generally Rank who took over Cooke Taylor Hobson. Ortal lenses resulted and a few others. Very esoteric!
