This is available in most of recent Canon cameras.

Does it have a real use? Or just another useless function? The fact that this function is buried under the Custom Fuctions section makes me think that has no real use for everyday photography.

Supposedly works the other way around as the Auto Lighting Optimizer. Did you used it? Did you find it useful?
