If the scratch is to be filled by some material, it would likely be a resin type cement. The optical industry uses Canadian Balsom, a water clear glue made from the sap of an evergreen pine native to Canada. In modern times, it has been replaced by synthetic material. The main use of this cement is to glue lens elements together making an array. | |

If the covered area was too thick, it might adversely affect the bokeh for out-of-focus point sources of light, but if it's thin I wouldn't think that would be very noticeable. | |
