Photons don't know whether they were reflected or emitted. But the mind does. It's a very strong cognitive effect. It's been shown that if a monitor is camouflaged so that it looks like a reflective surface image the image will appear fine but when the same is viewed without camouflage, it's pretty horrible. | |
