comment What is a low pass filter, and does a camera need to have one?
As an "EVERY DAY" example, I find they are particularly useful to have when shooting people in shirts with thin stripes (very common) and distant roof tiles/bricks.

comment What is the Autofocus type in Nikon D3300?
"Nikon does not yet incorporate phase detection on the imaging sensor" - Is that physically possible?

comment What causes these bands in this macro photograph of a LED?
out of interest, what "inexpensive" digital cameras use leaf shutters? I've only used one, and that was a Hasselblad!

comment What is the purpose of prewedding photography session?
on the day, the bride and groom are rather, well, busy... so the pre wedding shoot is for more formal stuff and staged shots. (as well as to discuss the day in some cases)

comment What are good starter outdoor cameras?
agreed, although "go out of style" is a bit wrong in my eyes, i'd say they are superseded regularly.

comment What does it mean when a TV “supports HDR”?
indeed, as per the new OLED tech, you are MAKING light per pixel, rather than blocking it, like LCD, so technically the contrast ratio is infinite :-)

comment What method is used for printing onto museum-quality glass?
Thats the problem, you are asking how it is done, but cant provide an example, there are many ways it COULD be done. It could be solvent inkjet, water-based inkjet on a clear base, it could be silk screen, it could even be some inkjet process that sprays coloured glaze onto the glass which is then put in a kiln...

Ambient lights, 3D, Curved, 4K... now HDR - I wonder what useless guff they will come out with next year? - I have a 5 year old full HD Plasma, and have yet to find any reason to change it!! I still want a smell-o-vision.

comment How do you use a gray card…in the dark room?
odd... as long as you are always using the same one and not for white-balance porposes you would generally be OK, but for colour correction a set card is essential.

The thing is, we have both given the same basic answer - but have chosen to conclude slightly differently. lets just let it be shall we?

comment Are there graphic cards that allow calibration of conventional laptop displays?
If you must argue over this, I still stand by my answer, in the context of the actual question, NO you cannot buy a "graphics card" that specifically adds calibration capability as a feature to a laptop.

comment Are there graphic cards that allow calibration of conventional laptop displays?
Well in a way yes, but its also misleading to put it that way, and calibration is independent of graphics adapters...
