comment How to remember to change settings when I pick up my camera?
Wouldn't that be a most annoying feature? Take a break from shooting and when you get back an hour later you have to remember to set your specific settings.

comment Is there a reason to avoid the Nikon 80-200 f/2.8 on a Nikon D7000?
This would be my answer as well. I'm very happy with my 80-200 on the D300.

comment How can I convert Nikon D5100 .NEF files to .JPG?
OP has Photoshop elements. Shouldn't the question be re-read as: How to open RAW files in Photoshop Elements? I don't have Photoshop Elements myself but a little search indicates that Camera Raw is available as a plug in.
