How to Prevent Static Buildup +1 I am also interested to know too. From what I know, there is a certain RH value that will be balance (or just nice) that it will stop mold and static - which is 40% to 50%. So, I was wondering beside setting such RH value, are there other simple way to prevent static buildup/discharge. Would wearing a Antistatic wrist strap when using a camera in low humidity help? |

What will happen to a camera if the relative humidity drops to less than 35%? I was wondering what would be the best humidity level. From what I know, if RH value is above 50%, there might be mold growing on the camera and it will grow faster when it become RH of 60% to 70%. If I store below 40% e.g. storing at 20%, I was wondering if it will kill all the mold (if there is) but will it destroy other parts of the camera. |

What will happen to a camera if the relative humidity drops to less than 35%? Actually, the main reason for posting this question is because many forum mention that the camera should be store in a dry cabinet with RH value store between 40% to 50%. Therefore, I was wondering what would happen if we store in RH value other than 40% to 50%. From what I know, if RH value is above 50%, there might be mold growing on the camera and it will grow faster when it become RH of 60% to 70%. If I store below 40% e.g. storing at 20%, I was wondering if it will kill all the mold (if there is) but will it destroy other parts of the camera. |

What does operating environment's Humidity at Less than 85% (no condensation) mean? So, can I assume that the 100% relative humidity is actually dark cloud that is going to start to rain? |

What type of camera can work in extreme weather conditions? @Ward, Actually my friend have no recommendation of this type of camera because they don't even know if there are such camera that exist and can tolerate such extreme weather conditions and also take good photo. |
