If a runner in a race signs a model release, can I use the photo for commercial use if I buy it on a stock site? The reason that the misinformation exists is because different countries and places have different rules. e.g. In Germany or California people have rights to "their likeness". On that basis the best place to get legal advice is with a local qualified lawyer. Or at the very least mention your location specifically. |

Why do people in the stands during events use flash? The official rules are very vague and mention "No cameras longer than 30cm" Which probably means some folk got lucky and had a lens in their bags with a different lens on their camera when they got screened. |
