Why aren't photos from my Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 as sharp as I expect? taylorhustonphotography.com/Events/The-Rose-Soul-to-Seoul/… |

Why aren't photos from my Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 as sharp as I expect? I have both the 35mm and 50mm f/1.8. I shoot them wide open and get great results. But those are both fantastic lenses. I bought the Tokina because there wasn't a lot of fast, ultrawide DX options. In retrospect I should have gotten something else I think. I got it mainly for the f/2.8, but I think investing the money in a good flash would have been better. |

Sigma 150-500 for wildlife? I thought about the 80-400, but at the end of the day it is about $400 more expensive (new, though a quick look at Amazon shows some used for as cheap as $800), less long end range, and only slightly faster. If 300mm is a long enough range that leaves me open to several cheaper options, some under $500, though I kind of think I'd like to have the 500mm, even if I rarely use it, just in case? |

Sigma 150-500 for wildlife? Yeah but some reviews have told me that the 150-500 is a little bit sharper, and I don't think I would need the extra range/weight/price of the 50-500. |

Why would a serious photographer buy a lens slower than f/2.8? How much image quality are you sacrificing for that reduction in weight and cost? |

The future of AutoFocus Yeah but the D600 is FX, that's a whole other bag of worms. |

Why is my D5000 not saving pictures? Nothing. I mean, it seems to be taking the picture fine. Focus, shutter, etc etc. It just doesn't write the image to the SD card. |

Why is my D5000 not saving pictures? Tried that, tried 3 different memory cards. I didn't think it was the lens, but it was working fine until I put this one one. Then again I work in IT so I know enough about technology to know that it's never the obvious culprit. |

How important is a fast aperture in a wide angle lens? It is DX. Nikon D5000 to be specific. |

DX vs FX the final comparison That sounds very precise and accurate, though for most of us still thinking in terms of 'mm' could you translate? |

What low-cost ultra-wide angle DX lens will autofocus on my Nikon D5000? Whatabout this lense? I would be worried about the relatively low maximum aperture, but the wide angel can't be beat and it's relatively inexpensive on Amazon. link Sigma 8-16 |

How important is auto-focus with a 50mm lens? Yes it is f/1.8. There is an f/1.4 but it is significantly more expensive. |
