I'm a computer scientist who is mainly intersted in data management, programming-language theory, and distributed systems. What characteristics make a good lens good? @mattdm exactly! I would like to actually understand the factors that make some images look better than others. Good test results don't mean much if I can't appreciate that goodness. It's like wine tasting: only after some experience one can learn to appreciate the "reddish-violet edge" or the "wooden notes" of an expensive bottle. |
