comment What's the exact meaning of picture style / profile, i.e. what does it do?
Actually, by default Lightroom does not use the embedded jpeg. A program like PhotoMechanic does. That's one reason why PM is a popular package for users of NX tools. Also consider that it's VERY easy to specify a default raw conversion profile while importing in Lightroom rendering the whole issue moot.

comment We own PS CS3, what are the benefits of upgrading to CS6?
The cool part is that it should scale with the hardware. So upgrading the machine will make it even better. Still, for a photographer, the content aware features are enough to justify an upgrade from a version as old as CS3 to me. But from CS5 it's a little more tricky to decide. Although with Adobe's policy changes that may force people's hands...

comment Why isn't saving photos as TIFF files a popular choice by DSLR manufacturers?
Many mid level and up Nikon DSLRs do have the option to save as TIFF...

Glad it worked for you. I'm not sure I understand what you're looking to do with the move tool. You wanting to do specific positioning after the canvas resize event? Like creating a fake matte where the picture is offset? If so, this might help: scottkelby.com/2010/photoshop-frame-tutorial

comment How to fix the artifacts in the hair of the subject of this photo?
Yeah, looks like a bad mask to me. Regardless, no fixing it in its current state. Unless you're a good artist and want to draw hair extensions...

comment Is there any license for photographer?
For the finer points of law a consult to a copyright attorney is a good idea or anyone. What I have repeated is from reading the various legal things on NAPP.

If your photo has a trademarked item in it then be prepared for a legal battle if the trademark owner decides to pursue a case. Just because a McDonald's is on the road doesn't mean you have the right to sell a print with a McDonald's is the subject. That's the whole point of property releases which is just as important as model releases for commercial work.

No, that is not true. You can't just shoot anything anywhere in the US. The fact there are local (and up) ordinances for photography shows this to be the case. Even so, it is a responsible photographer who asks permission when on private property before brazenly taking pictures. And it is the photographer's responsibility in every case except when they are a covered employee. If they are acting as an agent or independent contractor they are directly responsible and not covered by an employer's legal umbrella.
