I think it is down to opinion, I think I read somewhere that someone mentioned that individuals prefer to purchase prints without the frame because that means they are free to frame it how they like.

Yes I know what you mean, I have just been testing the blend mode on the replacement sky image and have had a some luck with reducing some of the white outline.

The skyline tends to be quite complicated because of the trees etc. That was why I was after a method that would allow Photoshop to take on most of the tricky selection process.

So If am looking at taking evening/nigh time photographs of an inner city landscape I should really be looking at a maximum f-stop number of say 11? My aim is to create an in focus picture across the entire photograph.

So is this down to the camera quality? Would a more expensive camera allow you to shoot at higher FStop numbers?
