Hmm... on second thought, maybe you are the NSA! ;-)

I'm sure the NSA could help you with this... ;-)

comment Do you still need an ultra wide angle if you can now stitch images?
the church example is great - I am always surprised by just how close you can get with an ultra-wide and still capture stuff behind the foreground subject. :-)

comment How to “scan” oversized documents with DSLR?
I intentionally omitted descriptions of the hardware as I thought a gear-neutral question would be more broadly useful, but if a respondent believes these details are required I can add them, just let me know.

comment Why is my camera so forgiving for overblown exposure?
Fascinating. If I shoot RAW and then import into Lightroom am I automatically utilizing the full raw data when I make my tweaks with the various sliders, or do I need to get more involved with the advanced options?

comment How to get back to photography after having a long break?
@ShutterBug - then maybe it's time to change your name and explore other hobbies. You can't feign interest for long. There's no crime in changing tastes or taking extended leaves of absence.

comment Nikon 5100- problems downloading onto computer- photos turning grey
If you've used the same USB cable to transfer to two different computers and the results were the same, then you need to get a new USB cable or begin using a card reader.

comment Nikon 5100- problems downloading onto computer- photos turning grey
If the photos look good on the camera's screen it's not a memory card problem. It either is a USB cable issue or the card reader for the PC, depending on how (s)he is transferring the files.

comment If I have a recent, mid-range DSLR, then why, if ever, would I need to buy another / better focusing screen?
+1 - I ran into this issue myself when trying to use LiveView to do macro photography of some insects. My manual focus shots looked sharp in LiveView but always ended up just a hair out of focus whereas the auto-focus nailed it every time. It was puzzling until I realized the problem was my reliance on the rear panel, not my eyes!
