comment How to enhance details (like freckles) in lightroom?
@JosafatHernandezLlanos you would need either the full version of Photoshop, or an addon tool such as Photomatix to do this. I use Photomatix with Lightroom -- it's awesome! hdrsoft.com

comment Is trading Canon 18-135mm + 24mm lenses for a 17-40mm L or 70-200mm f/4 L a good decision?
Should be made clearer on here (as I don't know about Tamrons and had to look it up), that the Tamron AF 17-50 f/2.8 Di II is suitable for crop sensor cameras ONLY, (such as the 60D). If you plan on going full frame at any time, this would not be a suitable option. The 17-40 gives you that flexibility for the future... Incidentally, I can vouch for the EF-S 17-55 as I used to own it when I had a 350D and 7D. It is STONKINGLY good, but as Michael points out - the price tag is hefty.

comment What is a good Canon lens to take portraits?
I wholeheartedly agree with this answer. I spent just £250 on my EF 85mm f/1.8 USM lens and it's an absolute STUNNER. Sharp as a razor blade - I just love looking at my images at 100% on screen - eyes, eyelashes, skin texture...they just blow me away! And the bokeh is beautiful too! I love this lens :)

comment How do I know the Canon 6d shutter count via software?
@dpollitt I did not mean to offend you, I just read the word 'many' and was surprised by it as I know I'm not alone in changing that setting amongst my photography friends in real life. Additionally because I know a lot of amateur togs (I'm a member of a club) maybe I have a distorted view of what 'many' means. Then I used the wrong word 'most' in my response. Apologies.

comment How do I speed up Apple Aperture?
Crikey - you're complaining about a 1-2 second delay on updating the view? Try a Core2Duo at 2.66Ghz with no dedicated graphics card! Sometimes I feel like I'm waiting 30 seconds or more before it's "ready" ... :-)
