comment Does an aperture value exist, where a lens creates a brighter image than the real view?
I'm not going to write a proper answer, but there are some really cool adapters out in the world. Metabones adapters will give you a aperture that is lager than f/1.0. lensrentals.com/blog/2013/01/metabones-magic

comment Measure rolling shutter severity of image sensor scientifically
Missing a comma in my sentence. What I tried to say was: If the camera have a mechanical shutter, rolling shutter will only be a problem when recording video, not taking photos.

comment Measure rolling shutter severity of image sensor scientifically
@Kozuch keep in mind that a rolling shutter is only a problem with video when the camera has a mechanical shutter.

comment What are the advantages of shooting in a proprietary RAW format over DNG?
I guess we can agree to disagree what a standard is then and who is responsible to follow it. If a camera manufacturer have a broken DNG-implementation, the camera manufacturer needs to fix it, not the software company.

comment What are the advantages of shooting in a proprietary RAW format over DNG?
Since DNG is a standardised format (the whole idea), it would only add one test file to their test suite.

comment Do I lose anything converting to DNG?
This answer would be much better if you didn't "just" link to a forum that might disappear.

comment What are the advantages of shooting in a proprietary RAW format over DNG?
Do you have a source for these claims? This is a very strong argument against DNG, but should be backed up by reference(s).

So why wouldn't Bibble also test the chain for DNG-pictures? Not sure I buy your argument.

comment What are the advantages of shooting in a proprietary RAW format over DNG?
I assume software have gone through a development the last 4 years. Several of the arguments are based on software support for DNG.

This might be a duplicate of What are the best sites to share photo galleries with friends? - You haven't told us why you want to share the photos on discs. Why not just leave the photos on-line?

comment What's the difference between PEF and DNG RAW formats?
It would be better if you made a summery of the advantages of DNG and PEF. Just listing a lot of links isn't really an answer.

comment How to avoid water in a shower from appearing to fall upwards?
It's not only an optical illusion. Water droplets do not look like the "cartoon" drops we see everywhere. Have a look at static.photo.net/attachments/bboard/00L/00L9fF-36529984.jpg and static.photo.net/attachments/bboard/00L/00L9fH-36530184.jpg from photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00L9fF

Not sure where the 2 times came from, but it shouldn't be there. Removed it now.

comment Can we measure size of an object using EXIF data from a photo?
I'm not calculating the area. I assumed the question asked for linear sizes, and explained how to calculate these based on the number of pixels in one direction. I've added a clarification.

comment Might future advances in sensor technology reduce or eliminate noise?
This is true for very short exposure times, but how short? Can you add some (estimated) values for the different exposures in the example picture. Are we talking about 1 nano second to 10 nano seconds, or are we approaching "normal" camera performance exposure times? I realise this will depend on the amount of light, but take a "normal" indoor scene as an example.

comment Will there be any differences which affect photography when running Windows on a Mac?
This questions should most likely be asked on Ask Different - the SE site for Apple hardware and software questions.
