At what shutter speed threshold does a tripod start to matter? thank so much, this is very enlightening! i'm reading the article you referenced now. but i have to admit, quite a few of the blurry shots i took were at or above the 1/focal_length rule. in your example, were they all shot at 1/40? how come some are more blurry? |

Why are my printed photos coming out smudged and crazy looking? thanks! i also noticed now that printing on glossy paper looks like crap.. i guess my printer is now configured for luster and that's why? |

Why are my printed photos coming out smudged and crazy looking? i agree. and i couldn't find the paper type setting in illustrator print menu, but i think the bigger problem was that the paper had bad surface on one side.. initially i assumed the paper was two sided but this does not appear to be the case |

How do I get such clear and detailed pictures like Aurelie Curie? what would be an equivalent lens recommendation for Nikon line? any 50mm f/1.8 lenses ? those tend to vary in price greatly |

getting assignments (free or paid) or selling work - for beginners here we go.. thank you oh wise forum keeper for saving the world from a question that does not have a single exact answer. after all, forums are only for black and white questions right? nobody could benefit from advice in this thread? what about all the people that upvoted all the questions and answers? people like you make stackexchange much worse off |

getting assignments (free or paid) or selling work - for beginners this was actually some great advice. i wasn't expecting it to be a walk in the park. but i'm just getting tired walking around for hours trying to find photo ops.. i figured having a goal of making money, or getting gigs would stretch my abilities to do something that is in demand (by a single individual or online groups).. thanks again! very useful advice |
