comment How can I best utilize a point-and-shoot for concert photography?
For the second paragraph alone, +1. Shooting stage performances is unbelievably challenging but when you get good shots out of it, it's also unbelievably rewarding.

comment What swirly bokeh technique is this and how can I achieve it?
How does this happen on non-Petzval designs?

comment My attention gets repeatedly distracted by the elements needed for the context in this picture. Where am I going wrong?
@TheIndependentAquarius: The lizard question is essentially the same thing: "When the only image I can compose doesn't tell a good story, how do I find a story in it?"

comment Why don't cameras have metering modes that expose RAW files to the right?
Some recent Nikon bodies have a highlight-weighted metering mode that prevents clipping and can be driven to do ETTR with exposure compensation. Nikons tend not do well with ETTR, but the bodies that have HWM have enough dynamic range that you can pull quite a bit out of the underexposed parts.

comment Why does my lens refocus when the f-stop is changed?
@mattdm is correct. F-mount lenses are forced open when first attached to the body and left that way until just before the shutter opens. It was that way before there was AF, but it's a requirement for AF because there's an aperture limit below which AF will not function.

comment When do I have to give credit for the arrangement of photo I took?
If there's a clause like that in the contract, the OP wouldn't be bound by it because he's not party to the contract. If anything, the OP's friend would be required to police the guests, which would be pretty unreasonable given the ubiquity of gadgets that take pictures. (But I do agree that if there was such a clause, the aftermath could be awkward.)

comment How to choose a camera for taking passport photos?
This would depend a great deal on what your local issuer of passports requires in a photo.

comment What replacement batteries does a Lomo LC-A require?
The naming convention for batteries is an IEC standard. LR is a round alkaline battery; SR is round silver-oxide. Either one will work, but the SR will hold a charge longer. The FAQ is wrong about LR and SR being the same.

comment How to remove 2 lines about file number RAW mode etc from Nikon D7000 monitor playback display
That may be a quirk of the 7000. There are several bodies where the lines don't go away.

comment Why do my prints darken too quickly in the developer tray?
Olin's answer inspires another question: Your paper and developer are all negative. Did you get the positive by scanning and inverting it, and when you say the paper turns black too fast, do you mean the areas that are bright in the scene?

comment Why do my prints darken too quickly in the developer tray?
Well good on you for doing it, because there's nothing like watching a picture materialize on paper before your eyes. That's the one thing I miss about chemical photography. Hope what I put in my answer is useful to you.
