How do I shoot massive bonfire in order to produce an HDR image? @MikeW yes I did end up using HDR. I found it helped to keep the silhouettes black and still give my yellow highs. The color details in flames were increased by the additional exposures. |

Which cameras have built-in HDR? All of Sony's Alpha SLT line has built in HDR functionality. Though I've had better luck using software on my computer to combine bracketed images in to an HDR image. |

Disadvantages of electronic viewfinders? This is nicely balanced answer. I agree that the disadvantages that you list are probably the biggest reasons more of the industry hasn't shifted to EVFs. Though I think that EVFs are closing the gap with OVFs. The jump in quality between the EVF in the A33 and the A77 was huge. @dpollitt I don't notice any lag with my A77, but I don't shoot sports. I would say that lag is not a concern for most scenarios. |

Are DSLRs a dying breed, making now the time to switch to a mirrorless camera system? You make many good points, but if you haven't tried Sony's new Electronic View Finders (found in the A77 and A99) you should try them. In my opinion they have very good image quality, plus being able to display information on them is handy. EVFs aren't for everyone, but they are getting closer to optical view finders everyday. |

Automatic autofocus on 600D/Rebel T3i during video mode The sony's do shoot full HD video, but if you find yourself shooting video more than stills you should probably invest in a camera designed to shoot video. |

Can stacking multiple exposure images in post-processing give the same effect as a long exposure? Yeah I have the same problem in Chicago. Maybe star trails aren't possible, but the same workflow should work for any image stacking. |

What are some camera-phones with decent shutter-release response (or workarounds)? iOS did make the camera app more accessible, but I still prefer Camera+ for the speed it allows. Being about to set focus and exposure points separately is nice, but for another question. I think that the response time from camera plus is great. Push the button, take a frame. I don't feel like I am waiting on lag or having to preemptively press the shutter release to get the picture I really want a few moments later. |
