Preventing blown out skies/ Taking low light potraits with Canon S90 Thanks for your replies. A question of clarification, what do you mean when you write, " Work with the light " ? |

Landscape photography equipment advice @rfusca I can attach ND filters to lens which is not possible with S90 hence the problem. |

Landscape photography equipment advice @Imre That is an idea, I had not thought about that. Then again the problem lies with blown out sky or underexposed foreground. Whenever I try to capture a very moody cloudy scene I end up with an underexposed foreground or exposing for the foreground blows out the sky. |

Landscape photography equipment advice Thank you for your reply. The current problem I have is that the S90's wide angle is not wide enough. While it is an excellent camera, it does not seem to satisfy me with what I actually intended to capture. Hence, my inclination towards a DSLR. |

Landscape photography equipment advice Wow! Thanks that is great advice. I was leaning towards Canon because I know a few people who use Canon and it would help in swapping lenses. Now I will also check out the D7000. |
