comment Why do so many old cameras have camera lenses made in Japan?
I don't think anything from Praktica was ever produced in Japan. It's East German (DDR).

comment Is there ever a right time to upgrade to full frame camera body?
Yes, but (desirable) vignetting and using wide-angle are the only factors here. For most lenses 'losing the corners' helps to improve sharpness.

The "want to use old lenses?" is not really an indicator, as an APS-C accepts the same lenses as an FF mirrorless. Just with a crop factor.

comment Is it chromatic aberration?
seemed to appear on the borders of highly contrasting would indicate CA but I can't see that happening in this picture.

comment Given the same sensor size lens, will a higher megapixel sensor give more “reach” then a lower one?
I agree that it's an oversimplification.

@JonYork - different question. But basically yes, 36 pMpx lenses are not readily available or affordable.

comment How much zoom does a lens need to have before we call it a superzoom lens?
"I've read that ..." - be sure to distinguish the lenses from the superzoom cameras. Those compactcameras all have small senors which makes it easier to label the whole group as "low quality".

comment How are compact system (mirrorless) cameras typically charged?
That first paragraph is quite subjective. A (small) System Camera without a ViewFinder is a lot like a P&S, both in features and in price.

Yes, I removed that sentence. I was thinking about something else.

comment What's the full frame equvialance of this phone lens?
It's a little wider than standard, the usual range for that is 43-50 mm. But yes, it's close and less wide than most phonecams that I'm aware of.
