comment What causes weird, stripey corruption in overexposed areas on a mobile phone camera?
I don't think it's software. First I thought that this is caused by broken amplifiers, but it covers the entire image. Maybe it is the ADC?

comment Is there a sane reason why ¹⁄₁₂₅ is not, instead, exactly half of ¹⁄₆₀?
Photographers also won't need a sunset, automn, children, whatever mode, eventhough their cameras usually offer them. A good carpenter wouldn't you cheap wood for the backside of your cupboard, eventhough it was cheaper and you probably won't notice.

It does matter if you try to do scientific photography where it matters to open the shutter for exactly 1/1000.

Not completely the solution I hoped for, but certainly better than nothing.

comment What's the Reason 35mm Film is As Wide As It Is?
@Flimzy This might be a little off topic, but actually I thought about an explanation like this... Beside, as far as I know this horse ass explanation is a hoax.

comment What open source software for auto-alignment of photographs?
Yeah, I found that, but it didn't work for me. Don't ask me why. I wrote the author of the patch, but he didn't respond.

comment How can I photograph hummingbirds?
Do you want to catch the hummingsbirds alone or with scenery? Do you have something like a bird feeder to make them stay?

comment Is the color of the AF assist light important?
That 's exactly why I'm asking. As far as I know, red is the color best for the eye Tor recognize contours and as those light sensitive chips are built to be similar. Tor the human eye, I thought this could be the reason why they Art often. Red

comment Is the mounting screw for tripods always directly on the optical axis?
After I read the answer I don't know what to say. It so ridiculous. Why does ANYONE buy such crap!?

To be honest, all tripods if seen so far had a mounting screw while the camera had the corresponding screw thread.

If you try, please tell me. I couldn't get it to work in the way I understand the commands. Try -C -S and -A

Actually I didn't mention the word stereo nor anaglyph intentionally. Compositing the anaglyphs from two images is not the problem. align_image_stack actually has extra support for stereo images which does not work as expected. I've already contacted the author of the specific code.

My problem is that I do not want to create panoramas, but to align stereoscopic images.
