Is there a meaningful difference between Minolta cameras manufactured in China vs those made in Japan? I did not mean to assume anything. I know that workmanship matters. I just wanted to know how much it matters when it cameras. (Eg. it matters almost zero when it comes to computer chips ..) I wanted to know the degree to which the workmanship and quality of parts matters in (film)cameras . sorry I pissed you off. |

I rewound but the film position dial is stuck at “S..” Is my camera (brand new Vivitar E3800N) broken? @StanRogers I did not know the exposure counter was hooked on to the film door :) |

Film advance lever does not go all the way and shutter button locked @ElendilTheTall yes, thats what is happening here. The film lever doesnt rotate completely and the shutter button is locked .. what might be the issue .. this seems to be expected behavior for a particular case right ? When does this happen. What is the solution. Plus, I see "S.." in the small view which is supposed to show the position of the roll. |
