Software architect and developer. I use a variety of technologies but at work it's generally C++, HTML, ASP (JScript), Flex, and SVG. For personal stuff, I tend to use PHP, C#, perl, and everything I use at work. :)
I've been designing and developing for well over a decade in the enterprise software market, first with IP billing, now with ticketing (no, not TicketMaster). I'm a classic case of a jack-of-all-trades, but my intuition is good and I pick up programming languages like a sponge picks up water.
For fun, I'm an avid amateur photographer and especially enjoy nature and macro photography. I've also started getting into more studio oriented stuff, acquiring some lighting, background stands, and other gadgets for that purpose. My current weapon of choice is the Nikon D800. Overexposed images when using ring flash That ring flash is supposed to support Nikon's TTL features, but your camera is not in the list of supported ones on the Sigma site for that flash. The difference between the D7000 and something like the D5100 may be sufficiently subtle to cause miscommunication with the flash and hence the behaviour. You may want to check with Sigma directly. |

Why does the Lightroom Adjustment Brush introduce noise? @BartArondson - I saw your flag to close the question, but I'm not sure that I agree with you since I think it would be easy for others to make the same misapprehensions. What are the pros and cons of Canon 5D III / 6D HDR Mode Vs HDR using a computer + HDR software? I would recommend rephrasing this a little... Right now it seems to be a bit opinion-oriented. A pros/cons of the two models may be more valuable long term. |

Does the diameter of openings on photographic lighting grids affect brightness? A grid is used to concentrate the the light to a tighter circle, the smaller the grid, the tighter the circle. There may be other light loss, but not sure of amount relative to grid size or depth vs light source. |
