comment How do I select all pixels that match an exact color value in Adobe Photoshop?
This only works if there is an existing pixel whose location is known, and is the exact color desired. The question asks how to find pixels of a given color, using only the RGB (or CMYK, or Lab) color values, without knowing if/where any pixels of that color currently exist.

Nothing wrong with your answer, just soliciting some more! When I first asked this question, I didn't have the rep to put up a bounty :)

Returning to this issue after some time. The problem with Recovery is that it tends to underexpose the rest of the photo. Light browns become dark browns, for example. Skin tones suffer as well. Well-lit portions suddenly look like they were shadowed.

comment Why does Adobe Photoshop discard certain EXIF fields?
I know about Save for Web..., and that's not what I'm talking about. It is most definitely dropping some EXIF fields.

Actually the question was indeed more about post-processing, but this is a great reference nonetheless, thanks!

@Jon: Possibly, yes, but for the sake of this question, no. :)

@John Cavan: Ah, I hadn't seen that one. Haven't really looked at the Beta sites.

@John Cavan: Perhaps...but photography-related? This definitely seems to be the most popular of the SE sites for Photoshop questions.
