comment Why are there multiple contradictory ways to control flash ratio?
@anon aperture priority and TTL flash is the example I brought under "when you use compensation", I don't see any contradiction here?

comment Which is better - autofocus and recompose vs. manual focus?
You might get more exact focus by choosing the closest point instead.

comment What is a pancake lens?
Interesting note; do you have any examples of non-compact pancakes? Usually there are buttons and whatnot around lens mount preventing a lens too large to be mounted. It's also optically very complicated to gain anything from a flat lens significantly wider than mount.

comment What are the differences between E-TTL, i-TTL, and P-TTL?
Olympus seems to share same protocol with Panasonic; not sure if they meter by the same algorithm though. Sony has yet another TTL system, with the quirk that the contact layout prevents you from using a non-dedicated flash in even manual mode (and vice versa for-Sony flashes on other cameras). Samsung uses the P-TTL of Pentax.

Cameras substitute 1/120 with 1/125; 1/100 is only 2/3 steps faster than 1/60.
